The Palm volcano

Science

On September 19, 2021 a volcanic eruption began in Las Palmas, Canary Islands. In the Cumbre Vieja is where it all began, days before the scientists discovered several seismic movements, and decided to move the neighbors and the animals that were closer to the volcano.

The lava that came out of the volcano was very thick, which made it spread out a lot and did not resemble a river. After a few days, the lava began to slow down and it seemed that it would end there. But it was not like that, he kept approaching the sea, before arriving another part of the volcano opened, which made two rivers of lava. The first river of lava reached the sea on September 29, causing many toxic gases to be produced.

To this day the volcano continues to extract lava and at the moment it has no intention of stopping.
